and in sketchbooks when I travel to faraway places. 
In recent years I’ve made my own sketchbooks. 
Why do I do this? And how do I do it?
How do I decide what to draw--and which pens and pencils to draw with?
This book aims to answer these questions and others. 
It’s also the story of my life.
